Our CROP Hunger Walk in 2023 will be a virtual walk. We need walkers and donors. The purpose of this walk is to raise money to fight hunger and hunger-related problems. This year 25% of the money raised stays in the Roanoke Valley through the Feeding America Southwest Virginia Community Solutions Center (CSC). The CSC opened in 2018, and has served as both a Meal Production Training Program and a distribution point for meals to children (Children's Feeding Program) and senior citizens (Senior Food Box Program). Seventy-five percent will work through CWS both nationally and globally.
Virtual Walk: Walk 1-4 miles with your friends, family, or fellow parishioners during the week of October 1-8. To acknowledge that many people in the world have to walk a distance each day just to get clean water, people are invited to walk multiple times throughout the week. When you walk, take a picture of yourself or your team send to us to post on the website!
